1998 rangers had aftermarket manual unlocking hubs, you need to transfer the hubs, knuckles, and cv's. you can also swap a 4406 manual shift transfer case from an F150 (96-97 use 97-98 f150, 98+ use 99+ f150)

@EXPLORERMANN5395 if you take a front driveshaft out of a 5.0 AWD explorer you will see minimal if any fuel milage increase because you are still pushing the front axle and hauling all that weight. plus you will drift in park due to the viscous coupler.

@TheJeepWheeler Low riders are gay, some people think they look so cool but in reality almost anyone who see them automatically classify them as Mexican wagons, and you can't drive anywhere in one without bottoming out every time you pull out of a parking lot

yeah they make a 2wd 5.0L look at the mustangs and plus in a suv all u have to do is take the front drive shaft out its easy i took out my front drive shaft and i get better gas millage and more power

haha see u already did wrong by puttin it on "20's", shiny rims belong on lowriders not SUVS that have potential to be a sleeper. these 5.0 in the explorers are nice, i got ford mustang parts on mine, its AWD and it launches. i beat ricers all the time
