Electric Daisy Carnival 2009: Gatecrashers and Glowsticks

The light that looks like a flashlight at the beginning is in fact a police helicopter light trained on a crowd of about 1000 people who had just rampaged and crashed the gate. Twenty minutes later, after police beat them back, they circled to another area outside and took another run at it, this time knocking over a wrought iron gate.

Again, the police laid down the law. Thank God! That's exactly what they needed to do to keep the angry ravers at bay.

Once inside I saw why people were keen to go to such great lengths to gain access. Holy shit. 65,000 people, sold out Coliseum, packed with people dancing (and throwing trash on the ground, getting unbelievably fucked up, etc.). Quite a night.

omgosh i was on the stairs.. couldnt even get out of there because people behind kept on pushing and thought my arm got ripped off. not cool. i hope this isnt going to happen this year..

Shit like this can hurt ppl that love to rave. If u think about it...these events have shitload of security and ppl go and do this. next time around insomiac Is gonna think they need more security so what are they gonna do? Ticket prices r gonna go up. In order for insomiac to pay for security. Duh! And myb venues won't want to have events like this cus ppl can damage they're property!! Damn just save up ur money and buy a fkn ticket! And if u can't afford it then don't fkn go!! That simple =)

God. EFF these people. This is a reason why EDC is over-crowded. And we need our PLUR. People could have seriously gotten hurt if they were inside EDC and they were next to the fences that people were rioting on.
