Ontario students will be joining students across Canada on Feb. 7, 2007 for the National Student Day of Action to reduce tuition fees.
After getting elected by promising to do things differently and to freeze and reduce tuition fees, Premier Dalton McGuinty is racing to finish what former Conservative Ontario Premier Mike Harris started by allowing tuition fees to increase between 20% and 30% in just four years.
This Canadian Federation of Students documentary exposes McGuinty's hypocrisy as the province prepares for a general election in October 2007.
Canadians do not know how to protest! The government should be afraid of the people, take Quebec for example, there is a reason why they have had a freeze for over 30 yrs, there is a reason why in France Post secondary education is free!

quebec in general has the best social programs. but also the heaviest tax rates to support that level of funding.
one could make the point that the quebec system is more progressive in that manner regarding schooling since you wouldn't really pay this enormous tax until you make income.
