STONE COLD STONE COLD THE RATTLESNAKE THE RATTLESNAKE !!

@WrestlingPhenom800 you simply don't get "too close" you use tongs or hooks to move them. quite simple. peoples fear is generally way over the top. often they don't even strike or use their rattles.

hey norcalsnakemaster i have a question, How do you exactly get a rattlesnake out of its enclosure when cleaning its environment? because arent rattlers simply aggressive by nature? do you keep antivenom stored just in case of an emergency?

The C. atrox (western diamondback) usually don't calm down, but most others do after being in captivity for awhile. I really do not know how to explain, except that I use all the proper tools for handling venomous reptiles. No, I do not keep antivenom on hand. The local hospital has it if ever needed. Thanks, Jerry

Mojave's venom is stronger than a diamondback's isn't it?

The Mojave venom is different than the atrox (diamondback), not necessary stronger. The components in its venom is more nero than hemo. Although from the outside it may not look as bad because it does not cause the swelling like other rattlers. Internially, it is more serious, causing the respiratory system to shut down.
