actually it may well be a piece of paper or small piece of chroma key but he must of keyed out the paper or chroma and replaced with the background...
but thats just a thought

i think its a sheet of paper coz you could just key out the colour of the paper ill try then post my final piece as a response

Yeah, but instead of standing in front of the green screen I just held a sheet of green construction paper out in front of me. Just a really basic variation on tried and true chroma key techniques :)

How do u do this on final cut express? Can u get final cut express with mac mini? and does that take a really long time to make or did u just decuide to make a shirt movie?

You should be able to run FCE on a mac mini. The system requirements for it are listed on the apple website. It didnt take very long to do this effect at all - its a very simplified take on doing a Chroma Key. Other work I have done with a green screen (with actors in front of the screen, instead of behind it) has been far more intensive.
