  • 17 cal hmr is one of the funnest guns ive owned, only shitty thing is price of shells where i live.

  • here in the states they run about $9-$10/50 rounds. not too bad, but not like .22s!!!!!

  • ur ammo is so cheap over there, after conversion to the $ a round for my .222 costs about $1.20 that thats $24 for 20 rounds, unbelievable!!!

  • I almost got a .17 myself, but ended up getting a .22WMR instead. It's nearly as fast with the Rem Premier V-Max loads anyway and has twice the KE up close, but TONS more KE beyond 50 yards. Less wind drift as well, but that is a small amount really. I did get it for varmint, fall turkey and small game. It's my "go to" woodchuck gun, too...hence the need for KE at longer range. They .17s sure are flat shooting, though.
