PLL based FM modulated. I have a home stereo acting as a pre amp for the signal. The mp3 player only puts out a 100mV signal so im using the amp to boost it to 5v or more and the equalizer to filter out the high frequency shit. The coil reproduces the highs very loudly so I need to turn them down so they are more evenly matched to the rest of the tones.

  • nice little project

  • @Dalus01 Thanks man, the primary and secondary got so hot they melted still works but the secondary is all deformed at the bottom and the primary and ridges in it. I'm waiting on finishing my cnc router so I can make proper primary mounts and a new secondary with thicker wire.

  • Good job Tom, sounds great. Also love that stout secondary, I always tend to make 'em long, I'm sure they work better stout due to the coupling factor.

  • @triggerhappy77707 I ruined the secondary, the pipe melted and is all deformed now the wire itself is perfectly fine though. The coil also needs a bigger copper tube primary. The amount of power its pushing through all the conductors is insane.

  • Good work! The sound is very clear :D What is the input voltage?

  • @EnergyLabsBR 170V I think I need to add some more buss capacitance.

  • @Tab54o I didnt hear any 60Hz noise, so the Bus capacitancie might be good :D - Very good work!

  • @Tab54o BTW i didn't mean yours specifically I meant everyone's first coil is normally fail its normal. Mine was certainly fail and i gave up on it i didn't give it another try till 4 pr so years later.

  • @Tab54o True LOL. People tell me its the capacitors mainly, then the primary, then the sprk gap.
