We hope this will help explain how the hazard perception test is marked with explanations about the 'marking window' and how to watch the clips for hazards.
The video clip also gives advice from an Advanced Driver and how to look for hazards.

  • please reply to this my theory is in two days!

how do you know when to click.. cos pretty much everthing is a potential hazard

is it only when theres a danger you should click or what?

  • @foxytr900 Its a developing hazard you must click for, something that will make you slow down or change direction. You will see many 'potential' hazards but only some will cause you to slow or change direction. Click for anything that might make your go for the brake or move the steering, its quite OK to have 10 or more flags along the bottom of the screen

  • I hate these fucking things. blurry as shit videos in which you have to click if some cunt 20 miles away decides to go to his freezer for some peas or shit.

  • cagiva70's comments are not very intelligent. Very experienced drivers fail this test. I have driven for 24 years with no accidents and I got 43/70. Had no idea when I was supposed to click. The instructions are deliberately confusing. They tell you to click for all hazards but then only for 'develpoing hazards'. Its a bit of game. Perhaps stupid people find it easy!

  • (continued) Similarly, the video identifies every empty junction ( see from 2:37 - 2:42) as a hazard whereas if you look from 3:00 - 4:15 half the junctions were not developing hazards. This test fails and has not been thought out well. And these are just some of the faults I've found in this video from one single viewing.

  • Oh Pleeeeeaaase. How the hell are we supposed to see a developing hazard if the video is so pixelated. Half of the hazards were unnoticeable to the normal eye (and I have good eyesight). For example, the 'postman' in the distance at 3:30 wtf - There are other pedestrians also on the pavement, why only recognise postman Pat as the developing hazard? Also we can barely see a pedestrian at 3:06 (Continued)....

  • I'm sorry but empty roads around you are not a hazard lol what the hell?!

  • @2Pac515 This test is very stupid i agree...all the short video clips aren't even clear!!!! u can't see shit, not the signs or anything.... i just hope i pass this dumb test so i can take my main driving test

  • or is it that.. you just have to be cautious of these hazards and when one actually turns into a hazard you click?.. or you click for every prediction of a hazard?

  • so its just click the second u see a potential hazard... what if u click and there is no hazard?..

  • to be honest, if u dont buy the cd, and practice for about two weeks, at this hazard shit, youve got no chance!

  • This test is for idiots
