If I bought the app for an iPod (I don't have anything except my macbook pro) could I also then use it on my mac and have java enabled? All I need is java. I don't have any other tablets for devices besides this macbook which seriously limits me.

@calcetinhieli
Yes you can use AlwaysOnPC with the iPod touch, whenever you are in range of WiFi services. AlwaysOnPC is an online service so you must be online with broadband data network for AlwaysOnPC to operate.

I'm pretty sure this is nothing new. I used to have a program called "touchpad pro" on my jailbroken 1.1.3 ipod touch. it let you vnc into your computer just like this. you set up the vnc on your computer, and connected. then you could control your computer with your ipod just like this.

The difference with AlwaysOnPC is that the computer is online in the cloud. You connect to your own virtual machine computer in this case running on our servers, rather than a physical machine of your own that you leave on so you can access the desktop remotely.
You can upload files that you want to access online from any Internet connected computer that supporst Java.

AlwaysOnPC version 1.1 is in review with the App Store presently. Hopefully it will be approved and back online later this week.
