  • @kilomph1 your right. In a side by side comparison, the technology clearly works. Im not arguing that point. However, if the question is, "does it make you a safer rider"? Statistics say no. Since you feel safer, you will ride is riskier manner, thereby outweighing any advantages gained. A good example is this. Think about how you would ride in shorts and a tank top and sneakers on the highway. Now imagine the same ride in full leaters and race boots. Would you ride @ the same speed? why not

I can't believe you're arguing this. I'd kill to do a side by side test on any motorcycle in any condition (especially wet/sandy) with you. Guess who'd win by a huge margin?

  • @kilomph1 easy. ALL motor vehicle safety technologies result in an immediate improvement crash and fatality statistics. As people begin to modify their behavour in response to this added safety, the benefits erode over a 2 year period. At or about this time, the crash/fatality rates have returned to normal. In numerous studies after a X amoutn of time, the crah and fatality rates actually increase. Site your source for sustained improvement, Ill be happy to read it.

  • @polivo0111 I know all about that. Look up ABS statistics on motorcycles and explain a 37% reduction in fatalities on ABS equipped road motorcycles.

  • @kilomph1 look up "risk compensation" and / or offset hypothesis. Rider aids do not help. Studies have shown, time and time again. The safer someone believes they are, they up the risk factore by riding or driving more dangerously!

  • @kmaybe123 I love the old "bug eye" look of the bike :0) The 2011 model has the new shit style ones :0(

  • Looks fantastic in black and gold!!

  • @fotokitdirect Yea, good point. Smashing into some old lady who pulls out in front of you at an intersection and you locking up because you have nowhere NEAR the braking ability of an ABS system would give somebody the "true experience."

"motorcycles with ABS are 37% less likely to be in involved in fatal crashes"

  • @kilomph1 Erm because it's a naked with no rider aids so you can feel what a bike should feel like.
