  • I was just diagnosed with Palinopsia. I guess I've had it for a year or 2. It is more noticable with solid colored backgrounds, especially black or white. Mine is a result of a temporal lobe lesion that also causes seizures. The seizures I've have for 20 years (mostly controlled by medication). Sometimes seeing the reverse images of things is kind of fun, albeit, distracting.

  • I have had this since 1999, aged 18. It is worse in 'bad light', for instance when dusk is settling in or when there is a deep contrast between light and dark objects, such as my white hand moving over a black counter top. With me it is characterised by the afterimage of an object representing a trail of 'blue electricity', or sometimes the outer edge of an object trails behind the main object, but is white. Very strange, would love to know a cause/cure.

  • Thought it was left overs from the 70's and 80's. It can freak you out sometimes, especially out of the corners of my eye.

  • eh... i've had that for 3 or 4 years. i only see it when i wake up or when i spend much time in the dark.

  • Ha ha I definitely have palinopsia because when I wave my hand in front of my face I see a trail. When someone walks by me I see a trail. Ha ha I also see static and spots too. I've had this for about two months and it hasn't gone away lol.

  • I'm pretty sure I've had this all my life, and I never knew anybody saw any different. As such I never got the depression or frustration other people feel.

I actually quite like it, as my understanding of complementary was masterful. I completely topped Art in primary school as a result :P

Only problem is, it may mean life long brain tumour. Fun times :D

  • I think ive had this badly for like 5 months.. its horrible

  • I got these from after eating an anti-depressant for about one week. I stopped taking it, but the trails never went away, had them for many years..

  • @PerfectPanic Thanks for the reply, I thought this could lead to ultimate death instantly. I know i sounds stupid.

  • @GUNSFOREVER1 Not necessarily, it could be from stress/depression. But also from strokes, neurological disorders, tumors and stuff like that.
