I may be a Flyers fan but I hate how ppl these days say stuff like "Islanders Suck" or "Islanders should move to Quebec city or Kansas City". The Islanders are a classic and they're not going anywhere. Sure the Islanders haven't been great for awhile but their history is great.

You forget that if you won your division in those years you got a first round bye. For instance in 1975 the Canucks won the Smythe Division and their "reward" was a bye to the quarter finals VS the Montreal Canadiens. I think Montreal beats the Islanders dynasty and so does the oilers 5 cups in 7 years and I hate the shitty oilers

When Montreal won five cups in a row from 56-60 the playoffs were ONLY TWO ROUNDS. They won 10 series in a row and lost in the first round going for their sixth. When the Candiens won four in a row from 76-79, they won 16 in a row, won the first round the next year and then lost for a total of 17 in a row which the Islanders topped. That is why that dynasty of the Islanders is the best ever in hockey, hands down!
