**PLEASE READ**

This is a part of Michael Moore's documentary 'Bowling for Columbine'. Here, he interviews rock singer Marilyn Manson, whose music was acused of being the major influence on the shooters. Please, view it to the end. (and NO, we won't take the background music off, because Youtube can remove this video if we do. By the way, it's "The Nobodies - acoustic version", by Manson)

"We're the nobodies
Wanted to be somebodies
When we're dead
They'll know just who we are"

The film explores what Moore suggests are the causes for the Columbine High School massacre and other acts of violence with guns. Moore focuses on the background and environment in which the massacre took place and some common public opinions and assumptions about related issues. The film looks into the nature of violence in the United States.

In Moore's discussions with various people including South Park co-creator Matt Stone, the National Rifle Association's then-president Charlton Heston, and musician Marilyn Manson he seeks to explain why the Columbine massacre occurred and why the United States has a high violent crime rate (especially crimes involving guns).

"I wouldn't say a single word to them. I would listen to what they have to say, and that's what no one did."

  • "Keep everyone afraid, and they'll consume"

    Brilliant.

  • Yeah, I bet the killers drank water. Even Adolf Hitler drank it. So why not prohibit water?

  • wtf..... whats it got to do with marilyn...?! :S

  • Marilyn Manson actually hits the nail on the head in this interview about fear. Now we're all affraid of Iran and Syria, lets go bomb the shit outta them! Oh wait! There's a better answer, Ron Paul, he stands for peace and will bring our troops home. Hell, just think of all the money this country would save. Maybe gas would go down to 25 cents.

  • I was never really into his music -- still not. I remember being in third grade and being deathly afraid of him because of Columbine and the media. As the years went on, I never paid too much attention to him. I did read an article he wrote and, holy fuck, that man is eloquent as shit. I just watched BFC this morning and I can't get over this segment. I'm not a fan of his music, but I've got respect for this fucker and I'm a fan of his message. Good job, Manson, you glorious, eloquent bastard.

  • @TrunkMonkey3000 i fullheartedly agree

  • Manson is such an intelligent person, most of the time I find myself in agreement with his interviews even though I'm a Christian.

Why'd you have to sell out to the Beast, Manson ??? Why would you let yourself get possessed by filthy demons ???

  • Wow, that last line he said gave me chills. He is a very intelligent man. I've been a fan of him since I was in the 6th grade: 1) he has and still is my source of inspiration 2) he is my idol 3) i was smart enough to truly understand what exactly he stood for

  • Think about how this is making Marilyn Manson feel.

trying to blame him for kids suicides and that.

These kids obviously killed themselves because they had problems not because Marilyn runs around singing his awesome songs.
