Hands-on with Sony's PlayStation Move

This week I had the opportunity to try out Sony's motion-based controller system for the PS3, the PlayStation Move. Coming this fall, the PlayStation Move will bring a new level of realism to platform gaming.

@ldl1949 This is an programming demo for developers. It's not available for general download, as far as I know.

The wands are actually "cooler" than we make out in the video. If you're using a paint program, as an example, the globes on top of the wands will actually change color to match you paint color (each wand contains a red, green, blue LED light that can produce almost any hue). Even if you don't like the wand's look, trust me, when you actually play games and see how responsive the wands are, they're cool.

Another correction. Sorry. Dont mean to nit pick, I just want to make the statements accurate. Move not only has head tracking, it has body tracking as well. Marks had a demo of a robotic suit you could wear and move rendered it on your face and torso. This shows that Move is watching more than just that wand.

I expect awesome things from Move.

Dr. Marks is an amazing guy and i'm glad Sony has him and Microfail doesn't.

@Bananaknife87 oh no its all good i was just stating that it does have their own games same as all the consoles even though most of them were ported its the experience that makes them different either controls or other ways.
