@TheLoveNotWar1000 This is one of the few songs maynard did reveal the meaning to. He said its a drug talking to an addict. Given the context of his other songs its most likely heroin. You addressed a wonderful point though, Maynard purposely leaves the meaning of his lyrics ambiguous so that others can find their own, personal meaning in them. He says it gives the audience a deeper connection with the songs. And clearly it does.
