Leo Morello was born in 1994. He studies cello with M° Antonino Puliafito and M° Enrico Bronzi.
He has won several national and international competitions. When he was seven, the second prize at "Città di Manerbio" competition, when he was eight and twelve the first prize in two editions of "Music Schools National Competition" in Campi Bisenzio, Firenze; when he was thirteen, the first prize at Tallon Competition for strings in Pordenone. In 2008 he has won two first prizes performing in duet and in trio at "Zangarelli National Competition" in Città di Castello (Perugia), in 2009 with the Trio of Piccola Orchestra Veneta he won the first prize at "Young Musicians International Competition" in Treviso and the special prize for the best performance in chamber music in Schio International Competition. In 2009 he entered as soloist Ars Nova International Competition, winning a first prize. In 2010, performing in trio with his sister Martina Morello and with Paolo Tagliamento, he won the first prize at Ars Nova International Competition, in Trieste.
In 2009 and 2010 were assigned to him two fellowships at the International Festival of Music in Portogruaro, Venice.
He was also winner of fellowships offered by the Rotary and the Lions Club of Portogruaro.
He plays since 2005 with several youth orchestras, as principal and soloist cello: "Giovani Musicisti Veneti" symphony orchestra in Treviso, "Piccola Orchestra Veneta" chamber orchestra in Conegliano and "Zinaida Gilels" youth orchestra in San Vito al Tagliamento, wherewith he was requested to participate in the festival "Assisi in the world" 2009 and 2010, as soloist too. In 2008 and 2009 he joined several productions, organized by Teatro la Fenice, with "Giovane Filarmonica del Veneto" orchestra performing recitals of Aida and Rigoletto all around Italy.
He played also with professional orchestras and ensembles, as Naonis Orchestra in Pordenone, Orchestra del Veneto Orientale, Orchestra Classica del Veneto and ensemble Dramsam (ancient music). He has also been engaged in productions of contemporary music.
At Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia in Portogruaro he has attented since 2007 the masterclasses of Enrico Bronzi, Giovanni Gnocchi and Stefano Cerrato.
In March 2011 he will perform in Sydney Opera House as a member of YouTube Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas.

Ma non ti vergogni... a suonare in play back.... che cazzo di musicista sei.. cmq ti ho osservato nei minimi dettagli ... hahahahahahaha play back...... coglione!!!!

questo è un suono da studio di registrazione.. no da una stanza di appartamento... e dietro di te hai il balcone .. dove si vede ch passa una persona ahhahahahahahahahahahah  scemino di un professorino.. ma suona dal vivo.. cosi solo si potrà sapere se vali o no!!!!

@nataschi100 ahah mi dispiace deludere la cieca fiducia che hai nel tuo acuto spirito di osservazione, ma il microfono che ho usato è un h4n handy recorder, purtroppo non dispongo di uno studio di registrazione. la stanza non è un appartamento ma una chiesa (sprovvista di ogni genere di balcone) e, che tu ci voglia credere oppure no, l'audio è proprio quello del video che si vede :) (d'altronde sfido chiunque a produrre un video con questo tipo di ripresa in playback)

Wee mitico sono capitato su sto video per caso proprio oggi e (rinnovando i miei complimenti fatti già da tempo di persona:)) volevo dirti che sei un signore per come hai risposto a quello scemo che ha detto che suoni in play back dandoti del coglione!!!
