  • Harold Sudberry sang lead and wrote the song

  • @BKagent22 ah that why as writes it says (Fuqua-Quails) as the writers of the song, i love this song

  • One of the group members, Billy Strawbridge, is my grandfather and you are incorrect, the lead singer was not Charlie Robinson.

  • @ses0016 cool, thanks for shedding some light on them for me

  • The Elgins version is ok, a remake is never better than the original

......small world huh.....ps my name is Mike Kirkpatrick

they also cut "Got to get to school on time".....wow.....what great memories.

  • Wonderful lead singer and background vocal performance on this one! I love The Elgins' recording, but they couldn't beat the original. Especially like how the lead singer phrases "Ye-he-heh" in the chorus.

  • This song is an effin' KILLER!

  • The members were Art Kirkpatrick, Billy Strawbridge, Clarence Williams, Donald Brown, Harold Sudberry, William Fulgham (lead), James Williams.
