dwe213, please forgive my late reply, Yes I wrote this song with Tony. I should have been with Mo Town, but went off to Canada to venture. Then on to New York, where I met Tony! Several records have been released on this song, and a new version is due out in January, by the very talented Marcia J. Ball. Don't miss this one! Thanks, dwe213! Best always, Alvin

@AlvinOStewart wow what a track! I've heard lots of soul records, but this is new to me...I love the simplicity of it, combined with the beauty of the arrangement...the voice, did you write it with her in mind? Thank you.

Sweet!

Alvin-Wow didn't realize Tony was a co-writer.Tony was a busy guy those days-Sammy Davis Jrs understudy among his many talents.Alvin I absolutely love this song.If this had been released by Motown it could have been a smash.

The Joytones here were Vikki Burgess w/ Margaret Moore & Lynn Middleton.
As of MAR 2011 - Vikki is still singing, (I think)! Lynn Middleton died in 1994 &
Margaret Moore passed away in 1996

No problem Alvin wouldn't mind hearing some other stuff you've wrote or co wrote

I co-produced and co-wrote with Connell Johnson & Gloria Gaynor "This Love Affair" that she ( The Queen of Disco ) recorded.
"Nobody Wants To Hear Nobody's Troubles" by
Irma Thomas (Sweet Queen of Soul New Orleans! )
I was seven years old when I told my family I will write a song for Dinah Washington! They
laughed. 15 yrs. later she recorded my song
"To Forget About You."
"Workin' " Junior Parker and Jimmy McGriff
recorded this Jazz song I also wrote.
A few. Thanks for asking Livisoul!
