  • the only thing that steampunk has in common with cyberpunk is the fucking name the aesthetic concept has been around since the begining of the industrial revolution and is actually a general reference to a period called "the age of steam" which is the the early 1800's to the late 1930's in which steam was still either one of the prime movers of industry or the prime mover (this broad generalized period is how you get guys like this watch?v=IuyTCsSaRBs dressed in ww2 bdu's shooting matchlock's)
