Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing - Lyrics

Aint nothing like the real thing, baby
Aint nothing like the real thing, no, no
Aint nothing like the real thing, baby
(Aint nothing)
Aint nothing like the real thing

Ooh, Ive got your picture
Hanging on the wall
But it cant see or come to me
When I call your name
(When I call your name)
I realize its just a picture in a frame

I read your letters
When youre not near
But they dont move me
And they dont groove me
Like when I hear
(When I hear your voice)
Your sweet voice
Whispering in my ear
(In my ear)

No other sound is quite the same
As your name
(Quite the same as your name)
Your touch can do half this much
To make me feel better
So lets stay together

Ooh, I got memories to look back on
Though they help when youre gone
Im well aware
(Im well aware)
Nothing can take the place of your being there
(Being there)

Aint nothing like the real thing, baby
(Aint nothing)
Aint nothing like the real thing
Ooh, baby
Aint nothing like the real thing, baby
(Aint nothing)
Aint nothing like the real thing

Ooh, baby
Aint nothing like the real thing, baby
Aint nothing like the real thing

  • @peloduroo Just the one hair?

  • I want an afro hair!

  • This is beautiful!

  • @LBJTV This is so true, music nowadays is all just computers doing the work and it doesn't even sound any good.

  • @LBJTV Wise words from a young man.

  • they're talking about love but listening to this song I can't help but hear them talking about soul.

  • @LBJTV keep looking around and don't let your limited exposure lead you to ethnic generalizations and a pigeonholed view of the music industry. there's talented people just like you that are turning their backs on top 40 and putting their foot into soulful, thoughtful music. Good music just reaches us through different avenues now. Just redirect your attentions. Don't wait for pop culture to validate your tastes. There's plenty of blogs and websites for the active music lover.

  • I've said this one hundred videos but i'll say it again..

Just try to compare artists from the 70s to artists now.

For example, you aren't going to see a black man sing the way Jermaine does here nowadays, you'll most likely see him prancing around and rapping in a synthesized voice to some stupid techno beat.

There's no soul, talent or passion like there used to be 30+ years ago..It's all gone down hill since the 90s..

I'm 15 and it's very sad to see and hear the crap being played today.

  • @Msmichaeljacksongir1 Do you mean Bell Biv Devoe lol?
