Search for these plugins on google or at Mugen sites:

in_mp3pro.dll, in_mp3.dll, in_mad.dll, dj-van.dll (comes with eve battle screenpack)

  • Everyone talks about editing the plugins in mugen.cfg file but I don't see anywhere within that file that has the word plugins. Even doing ctrl + F and typing Plugin says cant find that word in this document. wtf? I'm using Mugen v1.0 rc7. I got sounds for the menu to work using this method, but stage music still succeeds to fail. I just recently got into mugen so bare with me please. Could it be the version I'm using?

  • @Ballonboy01 Oh sorry this is for the old winmugen before the RC versions came out. I have not played the RC versions so I'm sorry there.

  • Ok guys turns out it does work for Windows 7...you just have to make sure your midi volume, wav volume, mp3 volume are turned up in mugen.cfg then you should be fine. Also this is not Mugen 1.0 this is winmugen for those interested.

  • Hey guys. For everybody asking for assitance I should tell you that all this was done on Windows XP. Recently I tried this on Windows 7 and this method isn't working. So if you are using XP this should still work but on 7 there may be difficulties.

  • All of those were already in my plugins folder, is the sound not working because I only need one?

  • @Turbosonic98 Correct. You only need to find and use the 1 plugin that works.

  • i use the EVE screenpack and it never plays the character select screen music, i tried all of the plugins but none of them worked, the dj-van only plays the loading music when you pull up mugen, i dont get why it doesnt work

  • Well, i got it to work.

    At first i did what was most common, use the mp3pro.

    But after an hour of experimenting, i did this.

    plugin = plugins/in_mad.dll, mpeg, mp3

    simply putting the mpeg in front of the mp3 made the music play every time without fail.

    when the mp3 was alone it didnt work with ANY dll. For those of you that cant get any ofthe dlls to work, try copy pasting the line i posted above, it may work for you.

  • I want to know how you can make the music keep playing after a match ended with a super move? It stops for a while with my MUGEN.

  • @Obosii to me, it kinda works on start screen, but only if its the same music

  • dude you are a freakin god thank you u are a saint

  • @FlashMuzik4630 that the same thing that happend to me weird right

  • If you are using win 7 and you still cant get it to work make sure your Midi volume is a high number like 198. Nothing worked for me until I figured that mine was set to -1 for some reason .. hope that helps someone =)
