This is an original and hopefully entertaining Lip Man and the Lips original song put to video. It's about the greatest shore town on earth, Asbury Park, New Jersey It features our take on the story of the history of Asbury Park, many of the famous and cool local people & musicians who are or were a big part of the Asbury scene with photos and scenes from the Lips archives, Billy Smith, Al-Vis and others. We've worked on it since 1992 and finished it June 15, 2010! We met under the Howard Johnson sign 32 years ago, played most of the local clubs with our band Lip Man and the Lips and this song is our way of saying thanks to all the great folks there! Hope you enjoy it and look forward to your feedback! If you're not in the video, we apologize for not being able to fit everyone, but consider yourself part of it! The original version was titled "We might as well open a delicatessen". That was before Asbury started coming back! When we first moved to Florida, we met Bruce Springsteen at a local bar while he was visiting Clarence in Palm Beach, I asked him what he thought about the future of Asbury. His exact words were "don't worry, it'll come back!"
