~Leilani's POV~

I woke up in the morning with a splitting headache. The bright light was beaming through my thin curtains. Ugh, I really hated those things right now. I stuffed my head under my pillow and tried to remember last night, and how I'd evn gotten into this bed. Usually, I went from the last thing I could remember backwards. It worked well.

So... I remembered Kenni laying me down in my bed, but then I remember voices before that. People were talking about me. It was Kennedy and Nick, I remember. I was in the backseat of the car, and Nick had found me, right? When he had found me...Oh no, what had I done? I couldn't remember anything I had said or anything. What if I said something emberassing? No, but I remembered pretty much drowning and then, pushing him away. He had tried to hold me up. He got to close... If I had been sober, that proximity would've been an extremely bad thing. So I told him to stay away from me..

And then I remembered another contributing factor, Those eyes. The deep brown eyes, that you could get lost in. That could make you melt and make you do absolutley anything. Those eyes. That's part of why I pushed him away. That's why I don't remember looking him in the eyes after that. He had those eyes. I shook of the memory, even though it was hard just to get up. I held my head and stomach as I ran to the bathroom. I threw up and then jumped in the shower. It felt so nice, just a refresher. I needed one of those. It gave me time to think. I needed that too.

I remember that first day of school, when Lexie had mentioned she had heard something. It didn't seem that important until she had brought it up again recently. Then she said Colby's name and I told her to just not say anything more. I couldn't hear it. She had stayed by my side for the most part, even though I've been staying away and getting less involved with most of my friends. I tried not to let that day effect me, but it was just always on my mind.

I jumped out of the shower and didn't bother putting make-up on, which was so out of the ordinary for me, even recently. I was slumming deeper and I knew it, I just couldn't help it. I put on some black sweatpants and a orange cami and walked downstairs, on a mission to find something decent on t.v. I was switching through each of our 1000 channels and settled on Phineas and Ferb. Nothing else on...

"Oh, finally you're awake. I was beginning to worry about you..." I heard my mom behind me in the kitchen. "We have some company coming for lunch. You might want to go and get ready, you have 5 minutes hun, until they get here." I just waved her off.

"Mom. I don't care. Honestly, I could sit here and watch Phineas and Ferb build spaceships all day. Look at how much fun they're having! You wouldn't tear me away from this would you?" She just laughed at me. I think she ignored the fact that I had been changing so much. I knew I had been, I had been depressed like crazy recently, and my mom likes to pretend it doesn't even happen. Wait, since when did we have company?

"Hold up, who is it?" I could hear my mom still bustling around in the kitchen, preparing everything and traveling back and forth between the butlers pantry, dining room and kitchen.

"Oh just some neighbors that just got back from vacation. You probably wouldn't know their kids. Only their parents have been here." Okay, I was curious.

"How many kids, what age, guy or girls.. come on Mom, I need the details." She laughed again and I got up, going to sit at the table in the kitchen.

"Okay, fine. You might like this though. They have four boys. One of them who's your age. Kevin's 21 I think now, Joe's 19..? Nick's the one that's your age and Frankie's only a little one. He's only 8." She went on, but I tuned out, my jaw dropped. When she finished I jumped up, and looked straight in her eyes and I could tell she was excited about seeing her friends she hadn't seen in a while...

"Mother, those guys are not coming into our house, not now... I'm not ready, I don't want to see them... Ugh!" Then I turned around the run and hide upstairs. I don't think I could see Nick right now. Of course, the doorbell rang then. Cause that's just my luck. I rushed to try and make it up the stairs before a way too happy Kennedy waltzed over to the door and opened it to reveal Nick and his brothers, his mom and dad. My mom came behind me.

"You're staying downstairs. You're being social." Then she sighed, strightening her shirt then she sighed. "I don't get you sometimes, Leilani." With that, I leaned against the wall, trying to avoid looking Nick in the eyes and keeping my distance. This was going to be a long day.
