@Johnlindsey289 usually the animals getting slaughtered in movies like this get eaten afterwards by the natives figurating in the movie, same as in CH. So the animals died for a purpose, also the footage of the animals getting killed gets reused all the time in other cannibalmovies, so not too much animals died.

The title Sacrafice! sounds awesome!

I'm no animal rights person or vegetarian but why for entertainment?

@Johnlindsey289 so what? : ) , animals get killed everyday , i believe it is very hypocretical to go hating on this movie because animals were killed in it ... have u ever been in a slaughterhouse?
but i must say that in this movie , also like in most cannibal movies the animal cruelty is not so important for the movie , it don't contribute to the story actually , like the killing of the crocodile for instance ...
-
Did you know the animals were killed in this movie for real?

i have seen this one after 'eaten alive ( Mangiati Vivi)' by lenzi and i must say it is way better then that movie eventhough in eaten alive u get lot more gore , this movie is more like a good 'sunday-afternoonmovie', a lovestory with nice shots of jungle, nature and the beautiful me me lai
also some scenes from this movie are used in eaten alive also , the cannibal scene for instance

I got this film as part of a box set called Cannibal Lunchbox (also had Warlock Moon & Blood Feast 2) for about $8. It's an alright film. There's really only one cannibal scene

Dances with Cannibals should be a good title for this one since it's nearly the same as Dances with Wolves but years before that one. This was good but the animal killing was fucked up as usual with the monkey getting it's brain sliced to be eaten, the goat stabbed in the throat, alligators getting gutted etc. i'm not an animal rights person nor am i a vegetarian but still Lenzi could have gotten in trouble
First of all, I'd just like to congratulate you on your 100th video! Now, I know you probably get asked this a lot, but given the fact that 'Salo' has only VERY recently been un-banned in Australia, I was wondering if you had seen the film, or ever planned on reviewing it? I'd like to know your opinion of the film before I consider watching it. As always, keep up the good work!

@cpnfeathersword0409 Thanks. I am in the process of writing the Salo analysis but it's very involved (it's looking like it'll end up the equivalent of half an undergrad dissertation at the moment, approx 30-45 mins of video in effect). I'm not rushing it so it'll be a while yet but lots of folks are eager for it and I am some 3000 words into it so far. I'd say watch it anyway and see what you make of it, it could be some time before I finish it anyway.

Another top class review. Have you picked up that video nasties documentary "The Definitive Guide" yet? Well worth a look!

@DarkAngel182 I'd love to but I can't afford until at least the new year. I really want it too, but at least I've seen the Docco already

That looks like a pretty decent film. I was expecting trash based on what I've seen of Lenzi's Cannibal Ferox. If only there was an option to watch without the animal cruelty, as was the case with (the excellent) Cannibal Holocaust...

@1ex1uger Well the British DVD only has one scene of animal slaughter left in, that being of a goat being killed. I'd suggest that version if you want to avoid the worst of that element
