Is this Fairview Ave. Main st. or Belmont?
-
The Station, if I am correct, is owned by the line that runs it. As for this station in the video it would be BNSF, but Metra helps with the upkeep.
-
There is no rule against videoing or photographing at Metra stations on the UP, that rule was abolished fearing legal trouble, go figure!
-
I thought a railroad station is considered public property therefore they cannot force you to leave unless it is a crime?

Hey. Love the train vids. I was wondering, is it true that you can video tape and photograph on all metra lines that are Union Pacific?

I take it that you mean at the stations. I was escorted away from the Elmhurst Metra Station by a security guard. Apparently that is not allowed there or at any other along the line. After that incident, I moved to a grassy area outside Proviso Yard.

I heard it is ok on all the lines anywhere except on the UP.

Yeah, the UP is run by jerks. I mean, look what happened to Tehachapi in California. Signs have been posted everywhere warning people including railfans not to trespass.
