Platinum Playthrough - Elite Four Champion - vs Cynthia

Well, it's the biggie. The last main battle of the base storyline, and the only one set to give you some trouble for at least the next few hours or so. I must say, for the amount of mirror matches involved, I got off pretty well. Outpacing that Garchomp was the key...

haha i only use my empoleon haha i beat the stupit thing so many times that now i just go in with jus my empoleon and another pokemon that is weak to help the weak pokemon raise its level and i don't need no berrys potions nothing haha :P

Gengar: Focus Blast, shadow Ball, Thunderbolt, Destiny Bond

Metagross: EQ, Bullet Punch, Explosion, Meteor Mash

Elevtivire: T Punch, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thudnerbolt

Togekiss: Aura Sphere, Air Slash, Thunder Wave, Roost

Gyarados: Ice Fang. Waterfall, Trash, Dragon Dance

Torterra: Giga Drain, EQ, Razor Leaf, Crunch

My pokemon to bet Cynthia: Torterra, Giratina, Magnezone, Gyarados, Garchomp and Magmar. Sorry I forgot the level of my pokemon. More I hate to vs with Togekiss. She use Aura Sphere. My Torterra fainted.

Spiritomb never effect anything. I used Earthquake by Torterra to beat Spiritomb.

If it gets you through the storyline, then it's good enough. This team of mine will never be used for competitive battling (nor will any other team), but it does the job needed to get through the game :)

for me it is till i get a feebas Then i beauty grind till i have a milotic[ My party was 67 empol, 59 shiny loppuny,60 luxray,64 lucario, 64 staraptor, 59 torterra] not a good set but i used type trump moves on each type

ATM, Empol's main use (even now in the after-story) is still as the water HM carrier, and water-based offense.

While most people would stick an Ice move on their Empoleon for use against Dragons, I instead have Garch and Luca (via Dragon Pulse) to do that job for me.

Not true My 67 empoleon was probably what saved my team he is my big hitter I had trouble however cause of its mediocre speed stat i wish i still had it but i have a dpp gen gsc gen starter team that tore right through cynthia but i lost my video
