Meet On The Ledge - Old Fairport Convention & friends

Every time singer-songwriter-guitarist Richard Thompson finds himself on a stage with (old and/or new) members of Fairport Convention - the group he left in early seventies of previous century - he is invited to finish up musical offerings with Meet On The Ledge, a song he wrote more than 40 years ago. The song became Fairport's anthem and is played and sung by thousands at every year's Cropredy festival in the meadows of Oxfordshire.
Right here we have the version from Barbican Center in London on July 18 2009, during a weekend to celebrate producer Joe Boyd's contribution to recognizing Fairport's talent in the sixties and introducing them to the music business.
