I show you how to replace a hard drive on a Dell Dimension 2400.
Instead of re-installing all the programs and the operating system, I just cloned the hard drive, which makes an exact copy of all the documents and programs.

You can get HD Clone from this website: http://www.miray.de/products/sat.hdclone.html

  • PLEASE HELP!! I cloned my laptop hard drive to my desktop hard drive and everything is OK but the keyboard and mouse don't work....What should i do?

P.S the keyboard and mouse are functioning properly, and work in other machines.

  • @JordyBT I'm saying install drivers: Try to get another mouse/keyboard working with the computer. Then install all the drivers available for your computer.

  • btw i have 2 partitions. wha will happen if i transfer from 160 to 500gb? will it still be 160 on the 500gb and the rest of space will be useless? thanks again!

  • if i have 160gb hard drive on my laptop and i would clone it on a portable(not external coz external is connected to usb and has power plug and portable is just usb connected, right?) with 500gb. will it do? And will i be able to use the remaining space of that drive or after cloning, only 160gb will be used from 500gb and the rest will be useless? thanks in advance
