A second visit to the friend zone

"I think I just put myself into the friend zone with this girl I've known for years and this is the second time it happened. We reconnected and were trying to take things to the next level but she recently said that even though she tried her hardest to see me as more then just a friend, she can't. What should I do next? Is this a bluff or is it real? Should I just ignore her for a while?"

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this girl is telling you the truth. She wanted to like you. She even tried. It didn't work. She wasn't attracted to you. Maybe you made it too clear that you were into her and that killed her attraction to you. Whether you can ignite attraction or not, your next move should be to give her space. Contact her way less. If she contacts you be nice but not super available. In a way, let her know that you're not upset but that she is not very high on your priorities. Maybe then she'll come around because all of a sudden your interest in her won't be as obvious. Maybe she won't. Either way, you'll be nice, cool, and dignified.

Four years that is a long time to pursue a female who isn't into you at all. It's best to move on and date other girls instead. Once you are in the friends zone that's all you ever be.
