Firstly, I know the last few explosions aren't auto-destructs, but I like the way they look.

This is a video of most of the self-destruct and auto-destructs on Star Trek. I like how Captain Janeway can order a self-destruct by herself, but when the male Captains call for a destruct sequence, the computer asks for 'additional authorisation'.

  • Does anyone else want their computer to say authorization instead of password?

A simple "Yes" would have sufficed Number One.

  • Its funny in a lot of sci-fi movies the star ships have a self-destruct and I don't think any of our navy or other ships have one rofl I feel sorry for our 4th or 5th generation solders.

  • @Timsalt3100 why not? they kill anyone wearing a red shirt...XD LOL

  • @Iomeces

Hey, I have the same on my suitcase. :D

Wow, that's a really secure password.

  • Funny how Starfleet made it progressively easier to blow up your own ship as time passed. But Voyager Janeway can do it herself.

  • is it me or do the writers of star trek have to destroy every single ship they use ! lol

  • You used the first contact borg sphere didn't you? wouldn't the borg queen's ordered self destructs form voyager have fit?

  • @Calcubite Billets and rank aren't the same thing.

  • @heymrk As you may recall, "acting" officers can assume the role for the needed authorization. e.g. Chekov, acting science officer in Star Trek III. Perhaps Worf became the "acting" Security Officer and usurped whoever was officially assigned as such.

  • @reptongeek I am not a trekkie. I beg your forgiveness in advance for my trollness. Its an antimatter explosion, not nuclear.
