In a July 9, 2008 interview explaining McCain's plans in reforming the U.S. economy, Gramm downplayed the idea that the nation was in a recession, stating, "You've heard of mental depression; this is a mental recession," and "We have sort of become a nation of whiners, you just hear this constant whining, complaining about a loss of competitiveness, America in decline
Rich white people have broken out of their restraints honor and fairness and now evil their evil has been festering, the cancer is growing. We will unfortunately have to fall inorder to rise again.....and when I say we I mean the empire of the united states.

Phil Gramm was a simple moron for his "whiner" comment. It's going to take years, years, years, and more years to fix the economy. Cause over in Ohio were getting the bottom of a barrel when jobs, economy and revenue dry up.
