If this technology is in use today then there should be less casualties from IEDs. Is this the case? With today's technology very few soldiers should lose their life or limb.

We need to be multitasking. We need innovative solutions to IEDs. Some have suggested building RC/RF technology that can travel along an IED route. This way the equipment with out personnel will be impacted by the IED saving life and limb of the soldier. This will help the peace while offering something to build that saves lives too.

Will more innovative solutions help offer employment? What happened to global trade? There are trade partners in the desert that could choose to develop their desert land into wind and solar energy grids. Can our trade partners choose peace in the desert too?
