Chevy sucked as a host and he deserved to be cancelled...hard to be cute ALL the time. I think that was Timothy B. on bass. I saw them together in OKC in the late 80's..maybe about this time..??? Great stuff!

Dan should have produced the fish and smacked Chevy in the head with it! We are grateful that the show was canceled! I love that Dan had an answer for all of Chevy's crap! But poor Burt, he was at a total loss!

Burt Reynolds was about to laugh himself under the chair! He must been thinking,what the hell is this conversation about? Chevy Chase Show was canceled after six weeks. We should be grateful that it lasted long enough to see this wonderful segment with Dan. Chevy Chase was annoying!I love when Dan looks back and Chevy asked about the mail.Sorry Chevy! It appears,that Dan was looking for a way to escape from you. Dan was such a good sport and had a quick wit through this interview.

Dan was very funny. It takes intelligence and a quick witty mid to banter successfully with a terrible talk show host. I would have like to sahre wine and conversation with Dan. Thanks for posting this video for us to enjoy more of Dan the man we miss so much! I hope he knew HOW MUCH we liked him.

Hi! Strangely enough, I did see Buffett in concert several times. I wish I could say the same for Dan. My regrets. I second the rum punches!

Makes me want to dance and scream out Rum Punches for everyone!! I was listening to this everyday on my drive to work. It made me grateful, that I am still on this earth and to be able to take in it's beauty. Dan's music has always made such a impact on me. He knew how to pull on those heart strings, even if he wasn't trying to, he was the master of it!
