It actually ran pretty good on chips I had very little bridging. I does go thru the chips a bit faster than the pellets though. Later I will be building the add on hopper for it and Ill get the intended gen-set. Then I can get all the testing done and will have more acurate data on it

Thanks, Yes it is an imbert design, It is specked right out of the Handbook Of Biomass Downdraft Gasifier Engine Systems. It has an 8" hearth. It is chambered on the inside after the down tube in a fation that forces the gas to travel against as much surface area inside the unit as posible. This helps to prevent heat loss and exposes the gas in smaller quantities to higher temps to help crack out the tars.

Oh Yeah thats my 67 JD Round fender. These were made just 5 years. I have two of em. Im going to restor the other one I have. No hydrostatic on that one. JD did something a little different. They used a belt drive system like on a snowmobile. Its a really neat set-up.

Have you seen my web site with the new one I built? The one in the vid is the proto of the M-1 I have pics of the preproduction version on the website. I cleaned it up even more. Im going to build 8" cyclone seperator for it and a decent size heat exchanger for it this weekend.
