  • Can I ask how did you decide on Queensryche? Because you know they are way too much underrated lately..Partly because their last few albums until American Soldier and partly because of the changing "metal" scene in the 21st century.

  • wat do u mean?

  • I love Ryche. and i really enjoyed American Soldier. But maybe they have just used Solider as the title..would be better in my eyes.

btw, it has nothing to do with american patriotism or pro-war discourse.

  • ik thats wat i was trying to stress

  • Queensryche has been my favorite band ever since I can remember, I love almost every song they put out. The Tribe album was my least favorite, but as far as I am concerned, the American Soldier album is there greatest album since the first Operation Mindcrime. I love the way the music is arranged and there is a lot of old style geoff tate vocals in it that remind me of there earlier albums. I really hope that they make their next album sound more like this one. RYCHE ON!

  • quik review: this album sucks

  • I dig what you're saying..... first tune is called "SLIVER" but lots of people call it silver..... it's all good. Good job bro, well spoken. Take care, AJ

  • this album is an atrocity

  • ...American voices, would have been to claim that American's are everybody. And that just won't do.

Oh, and Great review! (Though I couldn't help but notice you said 'Silver' instead of 'Sliver')

  • That was my initial reaction too - Why AMERICAN soldier? The whole point was to demonstrate that the soldier story is constant - that as humans, regardless of race or generation, war inspires the same emotions, right? Then I realised that just 'Soldier' wouldn't have made sense. Geoff said that due to time and budget constraints they were unable to interview foreign soldiers, despite the fact that he wanted to. So to present the record as a representation of ALL soldiers, yet only use...

  • hahaha rock on dude
