-
@TSDFurReal yes your right. most clarinets except the Ab and Eb are tuned in Bb. this includes the concert clarinet ( standard Bb saprano clarinet), alto, bass contra alto, countre bass, and sub contre bass clarinets are tuned in Bb
-
@millymille1 When someone says bass clarinet, it's usually referring to the Bb.

It's been a year since you posted this comment. I was wondering if you still felt the same way?

there are different types of bass clarinets, just as there are different types of clarinets in general. the most common is the Bb bass clarinet though.

You're lucky! I have a bass on hire from the education board [im tutored in school and they hire out instruments]. The bass I use is over 20 years old, and hadnt been used for at least 10 years when I got it. I cant even get across the break [to a Middle B!] Its pretty dire!
you obviously have te musical skill of a muskrat and have no idea the musical skill it takes for such awesome playing. lern2not suck

I am a private clarinet teacher and I asked my student Ben (11yrs)to choose a bass clarinet video he thought was cool and he chose this video. We both think it sounds interesting and different from what we usually hear. You are great! Thanks
