Flying Padre (1951) - Stanley Kubrick

The first movie from Kubrick. Is hard to believe that he done it, I can't say that it worths seeing, anyway, as curiosity, go on.

Interesting to see how much he evolved during his lifetime.. From Day of the Fight (which I think was his first movie) to movies like 2001, A Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, The Shining etc.... From a nobody to a legend.. R.I.P.

I can see the first use of Kubrick's signature pull-back dolly shot at the end of the film. It was the best shot of the documentary. Im sure young Stanley was pleasantly surprised at how nice the shot looked and incorporated it in his future films.

Sorry to hear the news about the good Padre. Bob Hite, who narrated the ol' flick, passed away Feb 18, 2000. He was my dad.
