The local band scene was really thriving in the late 90's to the early part of the new millennium. Suddenly everything got too commercialized and things went to sh1t.
Local record companies tried to imitate what was the trend in foreign markets back then rather than setting a phase that is more suited to Filipino sensitivities. I sure wish that the local band scene gets a resurgence from independent groups that continue to fight the good fight.
