  • This would be hard against someone a lot bigger than you. I have to struggle to get Osotogari against older guys so I don't think I could do this. 5 stars for the vid anyway though. :)

  • Try it out on a bigger person. You might be surprised.

  • got to admit this guy is a good sensei..

  • thanks for all the excellent vids! I especially like seeing Arkadiy breaking down aspects like hooking the foot sweeping to the side. Good teacher there!

  • hi's brutal!!!:)))

  • this judo is power full its is strong but i don like

  • I like this sweep, I can't wait to try it out at my bjj practice next week.

  • @basick21 I know, I've gotten a lot better with sweeps and trips since I started Judo 2 years ago. Works great in Karate sparring when they don't expect it! :D

  • @Hotora86 i find that using sweeps are the easiest way to get people a lot heavier than you. you can really use your quickness to your advantage when youre going for sweeps.

  • It's a nice variation, a bit different than de ashi barai & any fancy footwork also helps you get your grip right

  • Great video, I really like how the hand position on the shoulder makes the throw happen so attractively and fast.

  • i tried this one the other day... When u walk into uke u lock ur ankle on the outside of his foot bringing your knee opposit of his, making an x shape with both urs and his leg, push down so hes locked in and cant pull out(make sure your leg is slightly bent forward ). his would be straight and hard to pull back As soon as u feel him try to pull back walk forward with ur other leg and u sweep (catching the other one too)

this is jus how i observed it to be and worked for me

  • Great technic! Migi ashi harai is favorite technic of my son, so lot of opponent put his opposit leg before. It will be a brilliant combination for him!

    :-)))))

    Thank you very much, sensei!
