@TheHospitalmedicine Bottom line Mr. hospitalist: You get paid to do that, I don't. You try working for free for awhile and then let me know how that works out for you. It used to be more tolerable because we could partially compensate for the loss by our other insured patients. Those days are gone. You may have heard insurance reimbursement is no longer very favorable.
Stop the madness!? As a hospitalists, I'm sick of admitting cholecystitis. Pull your weight... Remember when they said being surgeon was a lot of work? Get used to it.. They can't hire a midlevel to do your job.
