Megaman: Triple Threat is a Megaman 7-style game created with my E02 Multiplatform 2D Game Engine for DOS/Windows/Linux PC, Intel/PPC MacOS, PSP (CFW), and Wii (Homebrew Channel)

This video features gameplay from the 8/8/10 demo, demonstrating the select screens, and Megaman in the new "Zaiaku Man" level, culminating in a Robot Master confrontation

Original graphics and design by LizSama, and four all-new songs by SonicTweaker. Coding and other design by myself

  • Excellent enemy design, spriting, and tileset, but the level design is really flat, while most Mega Man stages, even without the enemies, are hard; and like I said before, the music is too repetitive.

  • Ooh interesting choice of naming ...for those of you who don't speak Japanese Zaiaku = Sin in English; makes his design make sense as a devil-figure. The setting doesn't make a lot of sense to me, shouldn't it be more of a dungeon or even pit of hell kind of area?? I like the idea its a Japanese village on a volcano tho either way..tho the 'popping' noise when you hit enemies is a little annoying :?

  • I really want to get going with making my own game on your engine, but even after reading through the docs I need some guidance as I am fairly new to coding...I know some java and how to integrate functions and mess with variables and what not...but yeah, I can't even get visual editors like the Level Editor started. I am stuck. Where can I get help?

    Also, your game is looking great so far, my only gripe is that the scrolling movement for the front sprites feel odd at the beginning of the stage.

    Too easy? Not exactly. I've played this game, and it's a lot harder than it looks. Zaiaku Man will definitely give you a run for your money.

  • CFW for PSP isn't really neccessary anymore. Users with OFW can now run Half Byte Loader (short HBL) and run the homebrews from there.

    Besides that, nice one! Already have Mettrix on PSP so I must grab this now. :3
