The problem is that the Democrats do not have enough of a majority. This will soon change, the Republicans have proven they are bad at running government and much greedier than Democrats. Do they have no responsibility for mistakes of last 12 years? The current situation is the Republicans baby, this is why they don't want to talk about the past.

The state and federal governments make more revenue in GAS TAX than oil companies make in profit idiot!

Congress DID RAISE THE COST OF OIL by not being pro-active. Nancy Pelosi stated she had a "plan to lower gas prices" if the Democrats won the majority. She lied!

Where's the plan? Where's the action?

The Democrats left for a 5 week vacation without debate or a vote on an Energy Bill that could provide immedite relief for ALL AMERICANS!

who makes the laws? Who has a extra 50 cent gas tax on their agenda? The Democrats.
Who has eliminating gas taxes on their agenda? The Republicans.
If tax on gas goes up, the price of gas goes up. If it is eliminated, the price of gas goes down. It is not rocket science. If a moron understands this, and you don't what does that make you?

Congress controls the money. And if you look at the approval ratings of the Senate and Congress you see they have lower ratings then Bush does.

Congress controls the money only if spending bills are not vetoed. It takes two to tango and compromise is the key to avoiding scrutiny. Republicans had the majority in congress for a few years during Bush's presidency and that's when the trouble began. By the time the Democrats took control of congress at a time when the damage already was done. The approval ratings reflect ALL those in congress, not just the Democrats.
