  • My god, I thought her first song was GOOSEBUMPS in 1979. Obviously this track was too weak to do well in the charts. I heard she died, is that true?

  • @EddieAlda She's been gone for two years. Sad, but true.

  • Olivia Newton John on backing vocals ?

  • I doubt it.. but you might be right.

  • She was a fair bit lighter in this vid than later on. Never heard this one. Pretty catchy song.

  • Thank you so much for finding this and posting! I looked for Christie Allen when she passed, but I couldn't find anything on YouTube. It's wonderful to see this.

  • i WAS SHOCKED TO READ THE LATE AND GREAT .... Wow this aussie shiela could sing , rest in peace Christtie XXXX you were for me back in ;79

  • @motownmaniax

She was also a very nice lady and hmmm... she was just prior to the all-too-serious Madonna school, which has now taken to great effect.

  • @nzoz1978 Wonderful talent. So right oz. Sadly, many get fed up with the music industry and end up walking away. The business side and constant pressure to make hit singles has to chaff after awhile. Most create music because it brings them joy and they're good at it, but success is fickle and sometimes rewards the banal and less talented. Allen was a keeper.

  • Lovely lady. Not seen this video b4. Wouldn't have recognised her. I'm used to seeing her with bigger hair n' tight disco pants. R.I.P. Christie.
