It is what it is. It's a show. I don't think Benise ever said he was a Flamenco guitarist or latin musician. His agents and promoters did. They have to sell it. I think his music opens people to the idea of latin music and hopefully from there they dig deeper to find the real stuff. I've been asked to join the Benise tour twice as a dancer. I've declined both times as fine art v.s. entertainment are two separate categories. People want to be entertained. Benise entertains.

What makes a REAL musician, Patty? Someone who plays music for a living? Or someone who seems to enjoy playing music? Raised in a family of many musicians, and being one myself, I can respect anyone who enjoys music more than some who do it because it's all they know... Benise is far from 'World Class' but this performance was a show, not an audition for a 2nd rate reality show

Simply an embarrassment to REAL musicians and professional artists the world over..........BENISE is the McDonald's of fine dining.......the productions are embarrassing to watch and painful to listen.....and his "company" wouldn't make an audition on "So you think you can dance."

This is also one of my most favorite of Roni's. His concert was wonderful and Roni is such a nice person.
