Again I use my feathered friends as they are very unforgiving when it comes to resolving detail and colour. Using this L series lens at 400mm (640mm 35mm equivalent focal length) at a distance of 25 feet. Auto exposure video mode @ 1080 25p. As a comparison I have included identical shots with the panasonic FZ100 at full zoom and iso 400. The image might be more "grainy/noisy" but stacks up quite well comapred to the pro series lens of the canon range.

  • Nice!!! Clear, sharp, reason why I'm willing to give up 100mm on the sigma 150-500mm for 100-400mm , tomorrow it comes in the mail!

  • I just got mine today and it has a very loud IS system on it. Some have said theirs is quiet and others said that it was loud but my wife even asked me what the noise was when I was first testing the lens out. If I record video then the IS operates silently but if taken out of video and in normal photo mode then it will make a very audible clicking sound at random times when I press the shutter button half way. For an example it sounds like the lens hood clanking against the metal tube.

  • OK I'm watching a video with a bird in it why is their half naked women on the side?
