  • Air New Zealand don't employ Junior First Officers - the guy was a S/O.

  • Nup, for flights longer than 8 hours a relief crew member is required.

  • erm no flight engineers on the 777 buddy, maybe second or junior first officer

  • Normally there's only 2 these days, but I believe it would be good to always have a third, an extra set of eyes and opinion, etc.

  • All 4 would be Pilots...1 x Captain (poss 2) and 2 First Officers. I spotted on Junior F/O or Second Officer with 2 bars on his shoulder. No Engineers required on the modern jets these days. I guess they were going on a 12 hour+ flight. All flights over 9 hours require 3 man deck, over 11 or 12 4 guys.
