The weekend before classes start at Western Illinois University in Macomb is a flurry of activity. From the move-in work that occurs on Friday and Saturday (with the help of President Al Goldfarb, Provost Jack Thomas and other WIU VPs) to the Family Picnic and First Night Fun, Western students and their families have no shortage of things to do that first weekend on campus. This video, shot by Michelle Detrick, a senior education major, and Darcie Shinberger, University Relations director, provides just a small taste of the events and fun at WIU's opening weekend Fall 2009.
