What is the true nature of the Chanuka miracle? Is it the miracle of eating jelly donuts or playing with the dreidel? Or is it the miracle of the nation of Israel fighting to preserve its integrity and to bring the light of G-d into the world?
But I am reminded that the 'Light of the world' will never be extinguished, no matter how many try to snuff it out, His word will endure forever... Amen
I see an animal that I thought was dead. Now, It's vigor has been restored. It's eyes shine like golden fire and it's coat resembles only the finest black velvet.
I see another animal. This animal is starving to the point of not being able to feed it's young. This animal's hair is graying and brittle. It's breath labored. Yet, it escapes death at every turn. Suddenly, this animal is transformed to a youthful brilliance beyond measure. My mind & eyes can't believe this miracle!
Shalom, Rabbi, and Happy Hanukkah to you and all . May the L-RD continue to bless the work of the Institute and may it may serve its full purpose in accordance with G-d's plan for this world and for all mankind. Once again with all prayers and blessings to you and to all Jewish people, from your Christian friends, Happy Hanukkah!
Nothing was taken out of context. Read chapter 12 in it's entirety and you will see that it is talking about the end times when all of the nations will come against Israel. That is when Messiah will return and rescue Israel. That is when Israel will finally recognize her true Messiah. How about you read your Scriptures, ask God to help you to understand them and then by His grace alone come to the true faith.
You are selectivly reading the Torah. G-d reterates THE PROMISE many times after Ishmael's birth. NO were does it say that taking Hagar was a sign of a lack of Faith. G-d repeted himself again at the binding od Isaac, to Isaac to Jacob to Moses @ Sinai, to all the Naviim through out Jewish History.
G-d is, was, and will be. As he is unchanging so is convenent.
But I am reminded that the 'Light of the world' will never be extinguished, no matter how many try to snuff it out, His word will endure forever... Amen
