@c That's sad, b/c Jesus came to deliver those who were in bondage through fear of death (Heb 2:14-15). But there is also this other group: "But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death." Prov 8:36

What is death?

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the SECOND DEATH." Rev 21:8

@c2010 Going to hell is something to fear. U know what? The Bible says those who aren't Christians fear death. But the Christian has passed from death to life, I have eternal life through Christ Jesus. So I'm not in bondage to fear anymore. Not afraid of man or what man thinks. That's great freedom! I'm not ashamed because I know God loves me because He showed His love by going to the cross for me. The power of Christ even enables one to depart from sin--He gives a clean heart and a pure mind.

@christianz2010 God is good and He loves you. That is why He is calling you to know Him and to walk with Him for ever. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and He wants you to trust Him and believe Him, that what He has said and done is true.

@c2010 Reasons? To be saved from the penalty of sin, which is death. To have eternal life instead. To have grace from God and to know spiritual truth, even great revelations! To recognize lies and be aware of the devices of the devil. To have power to do what is right and to eschew what is evil. To have love even for enemies, to have joy beyond words. To go through life with sure hope, knowing we are children of God through Jesus Christ. To be friends of Jesus and to be able to call on God.

@c2010 So you quote the Bible when you erroneously conclude it supports pot smoking, but you don't actually believe the Bible. Anyone who studies the Word of God and desires to know the truth, will discover that the Bible is absolutely true down to the smallest detail and that Jesus is God who died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day, just as prophesied. Then they can believe in Jesus and be saved and have eternal life. I hope you turn to God and let the Lord wise you up!
