Her big brown eyes glistened with tears brimming over the edge; tears rolled down my already red cheeks. She wiped away one of my tears, her thumb rubbing my cheek. I felt her hot breath hitting my neck as she moved closer to me, crawling into my lap. Her arms locked around my neck, her legs wrapped themselves around my waist. I put my hand on her thigh, her head layed on my shoulder. I caressed her forehead, gently pressing my forehead against hers. Her mouth formed a small O as if she was ready to talk, no sound from her lips. My other hand was wrapped around her, softly rubbing her back. We held onto each other, neither of us saying a word. I was lost for words; once again, she left me completely speechless. Neither of us said a word, yet somehow we said everything. We understood each other's silence, in a way I don't even understand; words would ruin our moment. There was nothing to say, everything was already understood. Everything we could say, goes without saying. I wanted to tell her everything I was thinking, I couldn't even open my mouth to speak.
"Don't leave." Her voice was barely audible. I shook my head no once.
"Mommy says to come downstair for breakfast." Frankie said when he walked in, ruining our moment. Selena slowly moved off me, my arm never leaving her waist.
I watched her as she ate. She didn't eat most of the foods, only the grapefruit. I cleaned the plate, she looked down and poked at the food with her fork. She sighed, pushing her plate towards me. I stared at her curiously.
"Healthy." She said one word that explained it all. I glanced down at the plate of food; bacon, sausage, and doughnuts.
"Orange juice?" I asked her. She shook her head no, resulting in more strands of hair falling out of her messy bun. Wrapping both of her arms around my one arm, leaning against me. I kissed the side of her head, moving some hair out of her eyes.
"I want to die." She whisphered to me. I moved her off of me, sitting her on the chair. I walked away from her, not looking back. I left the house, slamming the door shut. Tears of anger came to my eyes as I got in my car and drove away from everything I once loved. I drove for hours until I felt far enough away, I ended up somewhere in Maine, I started in California. I found a cheap hotel and payed for two weeks ahead of time.
I needed to get away from her, before she left me.
